Use Codex to market your app.

Open your project in Codex and ask for a post about something people can use today. Start with a real screen or released feature, then review the draft before connecting a publishing account.

Put it into practice.

  1. Choose a reader and a task.

Name who the post is for and the problem they are solving. “Freelancers who need to send an overdue invoice” gives the agent a subject to explain. “Market my app” leaves that choice open.

  2. Check what is available.

Ask Codex to compare the product page with the relevant implementation. Have it list the evidence for the proposed post, including what still needs checking in the released app. A merged change alone is not a release receipt.

  3. Prepare something you can inspect.

Sprid’s bootstrap skill can prepare a local marketing draft without a Sprid account. Use the bootstrap skill to draft a short post and suggest the screenshot that would explain it. Keep uncertain claims out of the finished copy.

  4. Review and connect.

Read the caption beside the image. Check the claim and where the call to action leads. Codex supports Streamable HTTP MCP servers and an OAuth login flow. Follow the Codex setup guide when you want to move the draft into Sprid and review scheduling.

From product evidence to a post.

Illustrative brief for a fictional invoicing app.

Evidence
The released app lets you duplicate an invoice and edit the new copy.

Sending the same invoice again? Start with a copy of the last one.
Visual

Action
Try it on your next recurring invoice.

Try it with your agent.

Paste into your agent
Use Sprid’s bootstrap skill to review this repo and its public product page. Choose one shipped feature worth explaining to a new user. List the evidence and anything you cannot verify. Draft a short social post in our existing voice and suggest a screenshot. Save the draft for review. Do not publish or schedule it.

Keep the first brief specific.

If the draft could describe another app unchanged, add the exact screen, action or constraint that makes your example useful.

Can Codex schedule social media posts?

It needs a connected publishing service and access to the intended channel. After setup, ask for a preview and proposed schedule, then approve the specific posts. Saving a local draft does not schedule it.

Do I need to build a marketing integration?

Start with the existing Sprid setup instructions. Write custom integration code only if your workflow needs something those tools cannot provide.
