Create social media posts in Cursor.
Use Cursor Agent to turn a real product workflow into a social post. Point it at the files that explain the feature and your writing rules, then check the result against the app.

Put it into practice.
Give Agent a small reading list.
Name the product page, the relevant feature files and your voice guide. Ask for a short explanation of what a new user can do before asking for captions. Correct a mistaken reading before it becomes a post.
Make writing instructions reusable.
Cursor project rules live in .cursor/rules and use the .mdc extension. Keep marketing guidance scoped to marketing work. Point the rule at your voice guide and require evidence for product claims. Avoid copying prices or changing platform limits into that rule.
Draft around a visible action.
Ask for a caption and a simple image brief. Use a screenshot of the action, or a carousel showing the steps. Read the opening without the image: it should still tell someone why they would care.
Connect when you are ready to schedule.
Cursor supports Streamable HTTP MCP servers with OAuth. Use the shared Cursor setup for Sprid, then check the account and available tools. Ask for the finished preview and a proposed posting time before approving the booking.
A rule for marketing work.
Illustrative instructions to adapt to your project.
- Read first
- Use the existing voice guide and check the product’s released behavior.
- Write
- Describe what the reader can do. Use the names visible in the app.
- Check
- Give every product claim a source. Mark a missing source for review.
- Deliver
- Show the draft and visual together. Ask before publishing.
Try it with your agent.
Read our product page and voice guide. Find one useful action in the current app and inspect the relevant files. Draft an Instagram carousel explaining that action to someone new. Suggest which screenshots belong on the slides. List unsupported claims separately. Prepare a preview through Sprid if connected; otherwise save a local draft. Do not publish. When Agent cannot see Sprid.
Open the Cursor setup guide and check the MCP connection. Ask Agent to report which tools are available before requesting a connected action. A skill installation and a signed-in connection are separate checks.
Can I use Cursor for marketing without writing code?
You can start by giving Agent existing copy and screenshots, then asking it to prepare a draft. Review any proposed file changes before accepting them.
Should I put the whole voice guide in a rule?
Keep one maintained voice guide and reference it. Include only the instructions needed to make Agent read it at the right point.
